Say hello to stylish toughness crafted where metal, carbon and resin meet. Featuring a monocoque inner case of carbon-reinforced resin set in a layered carbon frame for a lighter weight and more durable timepiece. 235 sheets of layered and machined carbon and glass fiber form the bezel frame at the sides of the watch. These lightweight materials deliver a bezel frame about 77% lighter than one in stainless steel. The top-layer carbon sheet wraps around the sides at the 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, 9 o’clock, and 12 o’clock positions for greater strength, while tube-shaped carbon sheeting encircles the lugholes for enhanced durability. Glass fiber layers in G-SHOCK red provide a pop of strong color around the sides of the case.
